The Library is calling out for a local history project documenting the evolution of the Library and to profile the interesting and generous donors to the wonderful collection.
For the moment, here are some key moments.
Ms Claire OÇonnor was a pivotal mover and shaker in the early days of forming the collection.
The Gosford Council Library, which kept sheet music and books in the downstairs "Stacks" archive, donated its entire collection to the Con.
Mr Chris Kaye, a local library technician, created the catalogue in 2012 using Microsoft ACCESS database. Chris set up the Raymond Fisher system with assistance from the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music. Chris managed the Library and its volunteers when it was housed at the leased building 35 Mann Street.
In late 2016 Chris passed the Library baton to Ms Fiona Lugg , a musician and current tutor at the Conservatorium. To assist management of the collection Fiona undertook a Diploma in Library and Information Services, graduating in 2018.
In the latter half of 2018 35 Mann Street was vacated and the collection was boxed up and put in storage. At this time the Gosford Philharmonia Choir identified CCCMusicLibrary materials within its collection and the Library was able to incorporate these materials back into its collection.
In late 2018 demountable 4 was allocated as a designated space for CCCMusicLibrary. This is a medium term housing of the collection.
